Basel, Switzerland

The last city we went to for our side trips was Basel, Switzerland. It is just few minutes away from Colmar via train. I’ve been to Switzerland a couple of times before but mainly in the south. I could say that this country is no stranger to me, but every time I arrive at the airport or train stations, there is this different feeling where you must compose yourself on everything you do and wherever you go. Otherwise, you’re in for trouble. Probably, it’s due to the fact that Switzerland is one of the expensive countries in the world. And if you’re an average salary man from another country, then wasting money is not an option.

Anyway, the main reason why we were there was to visit the border between three countries, France, Germany and Switzerland. We actually expected that the place will be crowded but to our surprise, nobody was there. Getting there is quite tricky and to the point of being sketchy, probably that’s why. Or, we were in the wrong place. 😛
