Bretagne, France
It was another road trip with Maxe as the designated driver, because nobody else can. This time, there were six of us on our Brittany exploration. I’d never been to Brittany, and the timing was perfect because of the heatwave going on in the rest of the country.
We rented an Airbnb in the middle of nowhere, and it was way better than a hotel for a group of six. The house was huge and probably newly renovated. The kitchen was spacious, plus there was a separate barbecue and a pool. Seriously, can’t complain.
We stayed there for a couple of days, and our main goal was eating oysters in the oyster capital of France, Cancale. While we were there, we also visited Saint-Malo and Mont-Saint-Michel. Iris and I went to Mont-Saint-Michel eight years ago, and it felt good to be back. Nothing has really changed, except this time we took a car instead of a bus. Progress. Eyy!!
Aside from eating oysters, all we did was eat more, mostly seafood. We even bought two dozen oysters to bring back to the Airbnb, without a proper opener. It was difficult as fuck, but we managed to finish all of them.
In the end, it was fun and a nice break from work. And honestly, I got a little tired from sitting in the backseat as a passenger princess, doing nothing but sleeping and eating snacks. I would definitely do it again, but let me ask Maxe first. Maybe she’s got something to say. 😛
