Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Amsterdam once again. The last time we were in the city was 5 years ago. The reason why we went the back to the city is different than before. I attended a two-day conference held in the city but we extended our stay for one more day to explore city. We haven’t had the chance to do it from the first visit due to the rain.

We didn’t ride bikes nor took a boat tour. We had too much bike rides during our first visit. We did walk around the city center, visited the Heineken Experience, chilled at the canal bank and a quick visit to a coffee shop. But we mostly spent our extra day at the Straat museum: an installation of arts by street and graffiti artists. If you are into graphic arts, you should definitely pay a visit at the museum.

That was pretty much it! 😀 And man, this city is expensive. From our hotel to restaurants. Unlike in France, there is no une carafe d’eau for free. You had to pay an extra bottle of water or bring your own water bottle and refill it at the water fountains found around the city.

After Amsterdam, we were off for our vacation in Mallorca.
