Hong Kong In Less Than An Hour

Travelling sleep deprived is worst. Travelling with diarrhea is on another level. It’s a nightmare.

We intentionally booked a connecting flight in Hong Kong going back to Warsaw with enough layover time to roam around the city. Everything was according to plan until few minutes before boarding time for Hong Kong. My intestines started a coup. I thought a simple chug of a trusted tablet would stop it. And it did, for few hours. 🙁

We arrived in Hong Kong desperately looking for the nearest toilet. At that time, going to the city center became the least priority. We were about to stay at the airport and wait for our next flight but I felt inner peace and calmness after some rest. So f*ck it, Hong Kong is waiting for us.

We took the express train for convenience. But as soon as we arrived in Kowloon, it started again. Have you ever had that goosebumps feeling while your blood is slowly draining down from your face and any body movement could potentially cause an instant embarrassment? That the only thing you care about is to wish that you’re at home comfortably sitting on that throne? That was me, sitting still on the bench, hopeless and trying not to cry. 😀

After Iris took a few photos of the harbor, we decided to go back to the airport immediately. We figured, we can still go back here in the future without my dignity on the line. By the way, I suffered for another 15 hours before we safely arrived in Warsaw. I guess we can call it a different kind of mile high experience. 😉
