Dubai Expo 2020, UAE

Few months prior to our vacation in UAE, we were discussing either we stay in Europe or fly out to UAE. Since the restrictions were eased out, we decided to go for UAE. Thanks to Iris’ cousin, the von Kaufmann family, who hosted us during our trip.

First on our list was to visit the Expo. Expo 2020 was supposed to be in 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic. There are over a hundred country participants, each of them showcasing their countryโ€™s pride, ranging from foods, history, culture, and technology. The Expo was huge that we only covered few pavilions. One needs to spend maybe 2-3 full days to explore everything.

UAE has huge Filipino communities specially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The whole time we were there, it feels like we were in the Philippines. Kabayans. Kabayans everywhere. ๐Ÿ˜€

We only visited the Expo once, not only to avoid the crowd, but also due to unexpected circumstances ๐Ÿ˜›
