Blue Grotto, Malta

Blue Grotto is another tourist destination in Malta. It is a complex of sea caves along the Southeastern part of the country. And again, I had no idea of its existence because it was Iris who did the planning, as always. 😎 I did know the country though. Memorizing country’s capital was kind of my lunch in high school. 😏

The main attaction in Blue Grotto is a boat tour inside the caves but what I was really after is cliff jumping. I’m not good at it but I like doing it. And if you’ve been following my previous posts (most likely not), I’ve mentioned cliff jumping a couple of times before. Anyway, I did it on one of the not so high cliffs.

The sea was a refreshing sight except for the giant jellyfishes everywhere. Although they are pretty safe to be in contact with but still, it’s a little bit uncomfortable. 😬

After having too much food and a few hours of swimming, we went back to Valleta as early as possible. Missing the bus on the way back is not an option because the bus schedule is not as frequent as compared to other cities. If you happen to visit the place one day and want to spend more time in town, it is recommended to rent a car or a motorcycle.
