A Quick Layover in Bordeaux

After a two-week vacation in Poitiers, it was time to go back to Warsaw. I needed to fly from Bordeaux since it is cheaper than via Paris. I could actually take a train from Poitiers to Bordeaux and straight to the airport on the same day. However, we decided to stay one day in Bordeaux to avoid any hassles, especially waking up early. Besides, we were also able to meet Iris’s good friends there and go on sightseeing for a few hours.

I’ve been to Bordeaux twice, but it was during winter. This time was in summer, so it’s a good time to walk around the city. A quite number of people in the city is noticeable around this season, and there was even a cruise ship docked at the port. Indeed the best time to visit Bordeaux in summer.

We had a few drinks with Iris’s friends before we went back to the hotel. I will be in France at Christmas, and most probably we will be in Bordeaux on or before New Year. So there might be another Bordeaux upcoming Bordeaux post. 😉
