Hiking Along Lac Léman
The original plan was to hike up to Rochers de Naye but unfortunately, the tourism office closed it for hikers due to heavy snow. So we just decided to walk along the lake and from Villeneuve, go up to a vantage point overlooking the Lac Léman.
We started our hike at the vineyards in Lutry. I’ve been there in summer two years ago and definitely was one of the best view I’ve seen. However, it’s a bit dry this time since it was still winter.
After an hour or two, we took a train to Montreux, where supposedly our starting point to the mountain. But since we were not allowed to go up, we just decided to walk along the lake until Villeneuve. Imagine four grown men walking along a beautiful lake on a sunny day. Isn’t it romantic? 😉
Surprisingly, the scenery was stunning. Probably, Lac Léman is the clearest and cleanest lake I’ve ever seen. Spending summer here will be absolutely perfect, specially when I saw a diving board on the side of the lake. 😛
We ended our hike halfway from the vantage point we’re planning to go to because it was already dark and nobody brought any flashlights. Besides, everybody is hungry. 😀
