Disneyland Paris: Waking Up The Kid Inside

Before our vacation was over, we decided to visit Disneyland. Iris has been there once while I had never been to any amusement park prior to my stay here in Europe. Aside from seeing Mickey Mouse and all other childhood stars, I had no other expectations on what to do there.

When we arrived, I would never have imagined that for a minute, fairy tales could come true. Yeah, sounds cheesy but the feeling was surreal when we were inside the Disney village (or whatever its name). All those shops, houses, and streets have seemed like pulled out straight from the TV and turned into a reality. If you remember your childhood memories where you imagine yourself living in this made up utopia, then being here is (almost) exactly it, except that it only lasts a day.

There were a lot of rides to choose from but considering the length of the queue per ride, it’s impossible to try them all in one day. We’ve only managed to ride few of them, you know, the essentials. πŸ˜‰ Surprisingly, I enjoyed the β€œIt’s A Small World” ride and for the first time in a long time, I finally tried the β€œMerry go roundβ€œ. Bucket list, checked! πŸ˜› But the most extreme was the β€œIndiana Jones” roller coaster. That was definitely something. πŸ˜€

But the highlight of the trip was the parade of stars where every character is trying to wake up the kid inside you. πŸ˜‰ At night, the village turned from perfect into magical. And of course, the fireworks that light up the famous castle.
