Antibes, France
How long has it been? 😛
After over a year, we were able to go out again, at least for now. But before anything else, we need to set the record straight. We were fully vaccinated, wore masks on crowded areas and took proper distancing as much as possible. 😉
Iris and I took a few days of holidays and went to Nice (again). Since we have plenty of time, we managed to go on day trips in the neighboring cities along Côte d’Azur.
Today, we went to Antibes. It is a resort town between Cannes and Nice.  It’s known for its old town enclosed by 16th-century ramparts with the star-shaped Fort Carré (wiki). However, I would describe it as a town of luxury and superyachts. There’s just too many of them docked at Port Vauban. Aside from the mind blowing yachts, there’s also a Picasso Museum which housed his artworks. The old town streets are definitely instagrammable so wandering around can be quite pleasant.
However, we couldn’t bare the scorching heat of the sun. Summer here can be brutal. So the plan of going to Cannes afterwards was abandoned. Instead, we went home to Nice and enjoyed the very much needed airconditioned room. 😛
