Seine River Cruise in Paris

We had been to Paris a couple of times, but we never had the chance to hop on the river cruise. Well, typically, because we thought the distance covered is not worth the price. But this time, the tickets were free. I mean, nobody says no for free stuff, right? Big thanks to Iris’ friends who gave the tickets as a gift for our wedding.

The cruise was okay. Well, aside from the fact that it’s Paris, there was not much special about it, probably because it’s winter when everything is grey. You’re just sitting by the window (if you’re lucky to get in first) staring at other people’s backs who are brave enough to stay out in the cold.

I’m sure the view is different compared to summertime, where people are chilling by the river banks (if not blasting their speakers to some trap music). If the water level is low enough, it is allowed to stay on the roof deck for the entire duration of the cruise where you can have a 360 view of the river. If you’re lucky to do this, maybe you’ll get what you paid for.

Overall, it was a nice experience. The only bad thing that happened was when they shut down the metro line. We either had to walk or wait for the limited bus and packed like canned sardines. We took the latter. 😛
