French Riviera, France

It was probably our third or fourth visit to Nice and the neighboring cities along the French Riviera. What can I say? I love the sea. We went there last summer and stayed for a few days. As usual, we based ourselves in Nice, which, in my opinion, is the best starting point for exploring the other cities along the coast.

This time, we planned to visit the Rothschild Museum near Villefranche-sur-Mer and then head south to Antibes and finally to Cannes. Our goal? To eat and swim—nothing more. And we did just that. While we spent some time exploring the Rothschild Museum, we headed to Antibes the next day, looking for a spot on the beach. In Cannes, we wanted to do the same, but unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate.

On our last day in Nice, it was much the same. Rain was pouring. But since it was our last day, we couldn’t wait another few months or years to come back here. We embraced the moment, spending time at the beach under the rain and savoring every last minute in the sea.
