Paris: The City of Love?

Iris and I were away from each other for seven months since she left for Bordeaux last year. Although we are in a long distance relationship, we managed to meet everyday, not physically but virtually on Skype.

Fast forward, January 2017. After my schengen visa has been approved, I was able to visit Europe. I did not visit her right away when I arrived because of non-disclosable reasons, yet. *winks* I booked a ticket to France on February because what else is better way of seeing her again than in the city of love on the month of hearts. ๐Ÿ˜›

Aside from the excitement, I also had high expectations about Paris because who doesn’t, right? However, things got interesting when I arrived at the airport. It was -2ยฐC outside and I forgot my gloves and didn’t wear (upper) thermal clothes. Obviously, I underestimated the weather but you can’t blame me, Warsaw is colder than Paris. ๐Ÿ˜€

Hours later, there she was, in front of me (well, technically at my side because I was sitting facing the exit door and blah. blah. blah…), smiling and slightly crying(?). ๐Ÿ˜€ So I hugged her, not just because I missed her but, because I was so freaking cold.

We spent the rest of the day roaming around Paris before going to Bordeaux. We’ve visited Notre-Dame Cathedral, The Louvre, Arc de Triomphe and of course, The Eiffel Tower.

Unfortunately, my expectations were not met, especially on the Eiffel Tower. I was hoping that it would be very romantic but it turned out to be… shall we say, less than expected. ๐Ÿ˜‰ The weather was foggy and cold, tourists were everywhere looking for Instagram angles. But who cares, I was with @momentswithjane and we were in Paris. It was already enough to be perfect. *insert emojis here*

We might come back there soon and wait untilย evening to see the tower glows in the dark. I think that would be more romantic. …^_^…
