Bordeaux at Night

On my last night in Bordeaux, Iris and I went for a walk because I wanted to take pictures of the city at night, especially at the famous Miroir d’eau. I’ve already taken pictures of it a couple of times before but it was either at daylight or after the water source has been turned off. It is the best time to shoot it when the surface is filled with water to get a smooth reflection of Place de la Bourse.

As expected, it was packed with people taking selfies with it that made it hard to get a decent shot plus I didn’t have a tripod. So I had to put my camera on the ground for stable shot which caused it to get wet. I didn’t have a shot that I really wanted but it’s fine, the place is still beautiful. 😉

We talked about taking on one of the rides in the carnival at Place des Quinconces but mother nature called on both of us and unfortunately, all public toilets around were out of service. You don’t want it to happen at the top of the ferris wheel, do you? So we just took a couple of minutes walking around, a walking date let’s say, before calling it a night.

The city is really beautiful and if I just had tripod, I could have go back and stay another hour or two taking pictures around. The city is highly recommended for a visit even if you have no idea about wines. 😉
